"All the Way" is on its way! The second book in the Stylish Vittles saga will indeed be titled, "All the Way," as I hinted at in an earlier post. And I have committed to getting listed in the February 2003 Previews, meaning that "All the Way" will ship to stores April 2003! Of course, as with "I Met a Girl," this next book will be available from me at cons and from Cold Cut before it ships from Diamond.
While there has not been a drop-off in my list of things to do, I've been managing time decently and have started working up solicitation text for Diamond (how the hell do you describe a 300 page book in 50 words?!), and have the just-started cover drawing sitting on my table right now. The gist of this second book is to really build on what was in IMAG--Nan and Tyler are madly in love, and recognizing their deep love for one another, they really begin to form a true relationship, going beyond just dating. Of course, they are challenged by their live's as college students and all of the attendant intrigues--friends, homework, etc.--as well as themselves. Nan and Tyler's desire to become more intimate--in mind and body--leads them into each other's lives and the struggles that ensue from dealing with family and themselves--find out what happens when they go 'all the way?'
Of course this is a simplistic look at something that has grown quite complex--the way I'm examining this relationship and the kinds of things I'm exploring in this book have no easy answers. What happens when two people fall in love 'all the way?'...
