First a bit of news - I recently signed up with Wowio, a site where you can download PDFs of books for free! (you have to register though) Authors earn 25 cents for every book under 100 pages and 50 cents for every book over 100 pages that is downloaded! They stick some ads in your PDF to support the service. I thought I'd give it a shot as it's a way for people to be able to download and read Nothing Better whenever they want. Plus, I'm uploading individual chapters to try and make a bit more money - in the few days since I uploaded the first chapter I've already earned about 10 bucks! I'll try and keep the curious updated on how this continues to pan out.

I'm finishing up the last few pages of Volume 2 of Nothing Better and am deep into outlining Volume 3! Here's what I started with - don't look *too* closely if you don't want anything spoiled!

Click over to the LiveJournal to check out more recent sketches.

Augustana, nice. Those Augie kids accidentally ran over my car with their viking-ship float once.

Also, yes, I like your comic. Keep it up.

Whew!
I just took a four day journey starting at the beginning of NB, to make sure that I didn't miss anything, and that I got the full benefit of the story and artwork from its origin.
Tyler, this is amazing. You have a body of work in this book that I not only admire, but am falling in love with.
The pacing, the artwork, the writing, the character development, and the evolution of each of these students individually in this college environment is astounding and captivating!
I have to admit, after reading the eleven and a half issues you've posted, I'm upset that I've only written script notes for a book idea of my own, thumbnailed a few pages and haven't done much to progress publishing it.
I'm going to do it by next year though, and have enough of a production cushion to post regular updates.
You've inspired me.
There's no way I can hold a candle to what you do here, but I hope that my work will be worthy of an Eisner nomination someday.
Truly wonderful!

You know, I thought she might just get a really stern talking to, a 'Come to Jesus' talk, if you'll excuse the pun.
I had no idea she'd wind up with a bun in the oven!
Not only is your artwork and character development improving with this book as it goes on, but the plot twists and the writing are getting more and more phenomenal!
Cheers and good look with the birth of your first!
